While the entire Big Ten schedule will be out soon, another major piece of it was reported a few days ago. It has been known for a while who IU’s opponents are and where the games will be played. However, times and dates are yet to be released.
However, College Basketball Insider’s Jon Rothstein leaked more news about some key conference matchups. The Hoosiers willhost Minnesotato open league play on December 9 beforetraveling to Nebraskaon December 13.
The reveal though that will excite Indiana fans most is the annual rivalry games with Purdue being known. The first matchup will be on January 31 in West Lafayette with the return game in Bloomington on February 23.
Banner #2 – Independent review launched by IU about former doctor
A well-known Bloomington doctor, Brad Bomba Sr., had disturbing allegationslevied against him by a former IU basketball player. The identity of the athlete is not known.
However, he alleges that Bomba, who was a contracted physician for Indiana athletics in the late 1990s, subjected him to inappropriate prostate and rectal exams. The university has tasked Jones Day with a fully independent investigation into the matter.
Jones Day has asked any athlete who may have been subjected to similar conduct to come forward and report it. This can be done by phone at 888-392-2296 or by email at [emailprotected]. The communication can be done anonymously if desired.
